Meanwhile, 9 short months after my last entry and I'm back to the beginning again.
My training should have started yesterday, but a fantastically timed sore throat has thrown a spanner in the works. tempted though I was to try to shift it by going out on a dark rainy night, I've therefore missed yesterday's easy 4 mile run, and will probably miss today's 4 mile easy run (What is the difference? I'm not sure although the Runners World suggests the easy is slower than slow).
To help me towards this year's aim of beating 3 hr 15 mins, i.e. the same aim as last year, I have a couple of secret weapons to be used over the coming months. I'm also doing a few more miles if my cold ever goes away.
Back tomorrow to see if I can manage a 5 mile slow run (don't think I'd be stretching myself too much anyway).
