Sunday, Week 8
Run: "20 miles, Slow"

Total Mileage This week: 43 miles

Total Mileage So Far: 292 miles

On my mp3 player this week:
Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
The View - Hats Off To The Buskers
Bloc Party - A Weekend In The City

Up early before the house had stirred, and into the mist. Spent the first half an hour hearing about Agincourt and learning Spanish, which all seemed a bit unreal two hours later as I headed back.

Took it easy to start with the rest my slightly sore right ankle (not sure if this was due to the week's running or the new Wii). Still reached the top of the hill at Guiseley quicker than two weeks ago and cruised down to Baildon.

Took the familiar path up through the woods to the 10 mile point with all the previous runs crowding together in my head, from sub-zero last year to the 22 miler in 2005 when it was about 25 degrees. I probably should try some completely different routes, but as long as I'm not bored it's quite nice not to have to think about where I'm going.

Back down onto the Canal at Bingley, and this time, no detours from the towpath to lengthen the run.

Lots of runners out today, and all smiley.

Got back to Apperley Bridge at the 17 mile point and climbed up the long hill to Rawdon surprisingly easily with The View singing Same Jeans to help me up.

Home in 2 hr 48 mins to two sons still in pyjamas and a day of fun ahead.
